Reflections of Week 4 Term 3

Refections :
I think I have done well in learning about pie graphs in maths for statistics because before I didn't understand how to find the percentage and the degrees and now I know how to.
I also think I have done well in my speech because I was so nervous and after I did it I felt it was worth it because now it is over and done with.

Reflections of Week 3

I think that my reflections of week 3 are :

• Learning lots about statistics 
• Writing my speech and changing it to a better topic 
• Finish all of my work that needed to be completed :)

Writing goals :

☮Crafting and re-crafting my work during the editing phrase.

☮My next steps, when proofreading, are to ensure that she used the same tense throughout and that she has used more complex punctuation, such as direct speech and commas correctly.

Reading goals :

☮I need to work hard on evaluating the texts and applying the skill of self-monitoring in order to meet the national standard by the need of the year.

☮Focusing on where meaning breaks down and re-reading those parts of texts again

☮I am working on identifying the author’s purpose and the ways in which writers use language and ideas to suit their purposes.

☮I need to focus on the keywords in the questions in order to ascertain what is being asked.

Habit of mind goal :

☮Taking responsible risks : Speaking in front of the class by myself or in front of the year 7’s because I can’t be nervous about my speech.

☮Taking responsible risks : Running in cross country without stopping at all because last year I slipped and had to stop for about 5 seconds.

I recommend that 7GM should read I am David because it is interesting story with happy and sad moments, the author of this book is Anne Holm.

It is about a boy named David who escapes from a concentration camp and flees across Europe and is always thinking that the guards might catch him one day while escaping, lots of different things happen along the journey.
