Reflections 2015

My Memories of Year 7

This year I have improved in hockey, tennis and cricket. In hockey I have learnt more stick skills and footwork. In tennis I have learnt how to serve and in cricket I have learnt how to bowl properly. I have enjoyed playing kabaddi with my friends and getting into the finals - the only thing that I didn’t enjoy was breaking my finger. I have enjoyed camp and overcame my fear of heights after I went abseiling. I also remember when our class was at the rock hop and I kept on banging into Ella. I have improved in maths - learning easier strategies- easier than algorithms, I have improved in reading- understanding the text more, I have improved in spelling- especially apostrophes and plurals. I have enjoyed going on all my hockey and cricket fixtures this year and I was glad to be in the 2nds for hockey. I enjoyed the time when I got to stay a night at a stranger’s house for a fixture the next day in Napier. I enjoyed drama when we did the play Bugsy Malone and I had to carry a huge lollipop on the stage and sing- I didn’t do a very good job on that. I also enjoyed Science, Art\Pottery and Music. I remember in Science when we got to eat sausages, chocolate and omelettes, I enjoyed pottery when we got to make cups on the wheel and I failed at it so Mrs Wathen had to make me one. I enjoyed music when we played naughts and crosses and there was one more cross till we won and I put it in the wrong place . So I have really enjoyed my Year 7 at Southwell 2015 and I hope next year will be as fun as this year!
